I don't like leaving bad reviews. But the food and service at this restaurant is just horrible! It's a Haitian restaurant. I've been here a few times to try different dishes and each time I come, the quality of the food gets worse. And we're NOT going to talk about the service. Today I ordered a cheeseburger w/ fries. It's usually the most edible thing they have on the menu. It used to be actually good. I haven't been in awhile because the last time I went, I ordered the Haitian spaghetti and omg. It was so DRY and tasted like nothing. Not a spice. Not a onion nor a pepper. Literally hard overcooked noodles with hard cheap OVERCOOKED hotdogs. I love Haitian food but this spot does it absolutely no justice. I came in today in a pinch for lunch. The burger and fries is 8 bucks and usually safe. Yeah. NO! The burger was dry, tasteless and COLD. Like it had been sitting there. The fries was fried so hard I just couldn't eat them. And they were also COLD. NO TASTE. They seasoned them with just black pepper. LIKE HUH? A waste of money. The lady at the front who is supposed to take orders is "off". I walk in. There's no one there but me. She looks at me and goes back to strolling on her phone. No greetings. No can I take your order? OR Let me know when you're ready. So I stand there all of a min before I say "Are you going to take my order?" She looks up and says "Now"? I was floored. I knew THEN I should've left. But I proceeded. She calls someone from the back. He halfway took my order and said 10min. I get home and I can't eat any of it. The food is just B A D! Horrible experience. Never going back.
I ordered some griot with rice nd a side of mac nd cheese. That was my first time. I was kind of worried abt my money but when the food came and i opened the box, my first impression was: “ This food tastes good for sure” And i was right. The griot was well done fried and seasoning and that’s how i like it. Plaintains was fresh also. Please keep it like that. The only problem i had is that the griot wasn’t enough 😭 . Plzz give some more, I’m begging 🙏🏽
